RUGBY COACH, PART-TIME - REQUIRED FOR SEPT 2023
FIXED TERM CONTRACT – 7 months
The City of London Freemen’s School has a vacancy for a qualified, talented and experienced rugby coach to become part of an expanding coaching team within the School. During the autumn and spring terms you will coach rugby on two games afternoons with at least two after-school squads and will have responsibility for a school team on a Saturday. Fixtures take place both at Freemen’s and across the region at other schools on our fixture list.
We are looking for qualified rugby coaches of Level 2 or above, who have the enthusiasm and patience to work with young athletes. You will require a thorough knowledge of coaching techniques required to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions against agreed learning outcomes, whilst also being able to stretch talented and/or novice rugby players between the ages of 7 and 18. You will also be required to referee games or drive a minibus when called upon.
The post is offered on a fixed term contract and is term time (Autumn and Spring terms) only. The hours of work will be agreed each term with the Director of Sport. It is anticipated that up to 7.5 hours’ coaching per week will be required from September, with the addition of Saturday Fixtures.
The post is paid hourly and there are separate hourly rates of pay for coaching pupils and for accompanying pupils to and from, and during matches. Rates are determined according to skills and experience.
