Job Description

Rugby School are looking to appoint a Head Cricket Coach (i/c Girls’ Cricket) starting September 2022.

 Rugby School prides itself on having a forward thinking and dynamic sports department. Sport at Rugby School is at an all-time high and we are looking to complement our department with a Head cricket coach who will also manage the girls’ cricket. We are looking for someone that shares our drive for excellent coaching and cricket provision.

 The role is for a full-time coach (37.5 hours). They must have a minimum level 2 qualification in sports coaching (ideally cricket) and have experience of working with young athletes within a cricket coaching environment. The successful candidate will support the Sports department with planning and delivering our cricket programme to both boys and girls. They will immerse themselves in life at a busy boarding school helping with fixtures, tournaments and training (including Saturday and Sundays). They will be introduced into the sport science delivery program and support with analysis, athlete training programs and mentoring. This role does not come with accommodation.


The role will start ASAP and is 37.5 hours per week and is for 35 weeks of the year (term time plus). Salary is £28,000 per annum.  Weekly hours may vary depending on our fixture calendar.
