Job Description

The School requires:
Swimming Coach
Salary: £26,713pa-£30,576pa
40 days’ holiday per year (including bank holidays)
Breakfast and lunch without charge in term time
New Hall Sport Club Membership (£20pa)
Relocation assistance and School accommodation available to rent in Chelmsford City Centre or adjacent to the New Hall site

A Swimming Coach is required for the continued development of Swimming as one of the School’s major sports. As part of its Swim Academy, New Hall runs a Swim Club accredited by Swim England East Region. The successful candidate will ideally have the following SEQ qualifications: Level 2 Teaching Swimming and Swimming Coach. The Swimming Coach will help to deliver an all-year round programme for swimmers from club to county and national standard including galas, meets and international tours. During School holidays, the Swimming Coach will work with children attending club training and sport camps.

This post would suit a new graduate/school leaver; for somebody starting a career in sport, this is an exciting professional opportunity. We also welcome applications from candidates with experience.

New Hall is committed to professional development of staff and will support further in-service training. There are generous INSET and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) budgets. The School will fully fund swimming qualifications. For example, the School would fund the Swim England Senior Swimming Coach programme, subject to Swim England’s pre-requisite criteria. The School would also fund the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ), accredited by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS).
