SQUASH COACH, PART-TIME - REQUIRED FOR SEPT 2023

 

The City of London Freemen’s School has a vacancy for a qualified, talented and experienced squash coach to become part of an expanding coaching team within the School.  Coaching may include Games afternoons as well as lunchtime and after school clubs. Coaching staff may be required to take fixtures which take place both at Freemen’s and across the region at other schools.

 

We are looking for qualified squash coaches of Level 2 or above, who have the enthusiasm and patience to work with young athletes.  You will require a thorough knowledge of coaching techniques required to plan, deliver and evaluate sessions against agreed learning outcomes, whilst also being able to stretch talented and/or novice squash players between the ages of 7 and 18. If you hold a D1 category driving license you may also be required to drive a minibus when called upon. 

 

The post is offered on a fixed term contract and is term time only.  The hours of work will be agreed each term with the Director of Sport, but are expected to be around 9 hours per week over 2 days.

 

The post is paid hourly and there are separate hourly rates of pay for coaching pupils and for accompanying pupils to and from, and during matches.  Rates are determined according to skills and experience.
