Hunter Hall is a school like no other. Housed in 19th century farm buildings in the Eden Valley, we combine specialist teaching, small class sizes and a tranquil rural setting to create a unique learning environment where children can learn, grow and become the best that they can be.
Our aim is to ensure that all children develop and acquire the knowledge, skills, values and habits of learning that will enable them to thrive in the ever-changing world that awaits them.
To do this, we will:
- Provide a warm and inclusive learning environment where every member of the school community feels safe, happy and valued;
- Encourage all children to become creative and critical thinkers through the provision of high-quality, forward-thinking teaching in small classes;
- Nurture self-awareness, emotional intelligence and wellbeing so that children develop an understanding of themselves as learners and as individuals;
- Offer a broad, enriching and inclusive curriculum that develops the academic, sporting and creative talents of every child;
- Promote environmental and ethical awareness, enabling the children to make informed decisions as global citizens;
- Be outward-looking, actively engaging with the local community as well as developing cultural awareness and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
