Rugby Development Officer

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Rugby Development Officer to join our P.E./Games Department. This role is central to the development of rugby across the school, supporting participation and performance for pupils aged 2–18, while strengthening pathways with local primary schools, clubs, and the Isle of Man rugby academy.

The successful candidate will be a committed and professional rugby practitioner who brings energy, expertise, and a genuine passion for developing young players.

Essential attributes:

·         Degree in Sports Development, Sports Science, Physical Education, or related field

·         ERCA Level 3 Rugby Coaching Qualification (or similar from other RFU’s). Consideration will be given for level 2 qualified or similar with other courses and experience

·         Experience delivering rugby coaching within a school, club, or development pathway

·         Experience working with young people

·         Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills

·         Ability to work independently and collaboratively

·         Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

 Desirable attributes:

·         Rugby refereeing qualification

·         Strength & Conditioning qualification

·         Experience organising sports events or competitions.
