Passionate about sport and performance, I bring a wealth of coaching and teaching experiences across diverse age groups and educational settings. With two MSc degrees focused on Performance Psychology, complemented by hands-on coaching of athletes and students, I possess a robust background in supporting healthy communities. From high school instruction to university lecturing, I've cultivated versatile skills to excel as a coach and educator. My strengths lie in effective communication and a keen interest in sports-related research theory and its practical applications. As a proactive, culturally sustaining professional, I support students and foster collaborative relationships with colleagues across various settings, driving positive change and growth within the community.
As the APEx Coordinator at Singapore American School, I oversaw the operation of a 1000+ sq feet workout facility spread across three floors. My responsibilities included managing equipment acquisition, with a budget totalling approximately $250K, and leading a team of ten dedicated staff members. With a focus on fostering a safe and inclusive environment for students and adults, I developed a comprehensive Strength and Conditioning program tailored to meet the needs of Varsity and JV teams and open sessions available to community members. Additionally, I've spearheaded implementing a Mental conditioning program designed to support varsity athletes as they navigate the demands of being scholar-athletes. In addition to my administrative duties, I also served as a coach for soccer, tennis, and softball teams. I ran speed sessions open to all students, thus contributing to the overall athletic development of our student body.
