Arcadia British School Dubai seeks a Sports Graduate (Specialist Netball Coach) to contribute to curriculum development and adaptation with particular attention to the relevant sport curriculum. The post holder will uphold responsibility for the monitoring and assessment of students’ attainment and progress. As well as develop excellence amongst students by identifying exceptional learners and subsequently providing performance pathways. A willingness and ability to attend and run extra-curricular activities, squad training and competitions is essential.
A specialism in netball is essential and a strong background in either football and/or S&C would be desirable.
Arcadia School will be competing in both the DASSA and DAPSA leagues across the year in-line with their calendar of scheduled events. The focus sports of Football, Netball, Swimming, Athletics, Rugby and Basketball will have teams across multiple age groups and will have streamed sessions in games afternoons that show a clear pathway into squad teams. Outside of this focus sports, The school's aim is to encourage students to join in across a wider variety of team and individual sports and will try to cater for this as much as we can as a department. The house system in place encourages healthy competition across multiple platforms, swimming galas, intra-house tournaments and culminates in a festival on annual sports days. These are great ways for students to develop resilience, work on collaboration and communication amongst their peers.
