Job Description

Seaford College is seeking an outstanding rugby coach, leader and educator to become the next Head of Rugby. This is a significant whole-College appointment, with responsibility for the leadership, coaching, and continued development of rugby from Reception through to Sixth Form.

The new Head of Rugby will provide strategic, operational and coaching leadership for Rugby across Seaford College, from Reception to Year 13. Working closely with the Director of Sport, leading a large team of teachers, coaches and specialist practitioners, establishing a coherent approach to player development and coaching across the College.

The closing date for applications is 9.00am on Monday 21st September 2026. Online interviews are provisionally scheduled for the week commencing 28th September 2026, with face-to-face interviews at Seaford College taking place during the week commencing 5th October 2026.

The final-stage assessment process may include a formal interview, practical coaching observation, a presentation on the candidate's vision for Seaford Rugby, a coach development or leadership exercise, student interaction, and meetings with key members of the Sport and College Leadership Teams. The start date will be agreed with the successful candidate.
