BSc Sports Therapist with extensive experience in elite sports settings and the independent school sector. I have developed a particular interest and passion for working with youth demographics across all ability levels, helping them enhance their physical development and athletic capabilities. My expertise include musculoskeletal injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Additionally, I have accumulated a wealth of experience and knowledge in youth physical development strategies that extend alongside traditional strength and conditioning methods.  Being in an educational setting, I have ample experience delivering PE lessons, assisting in games afternoons, taking fixtures and attending sports tours and trips. 

I’m a driven and extremely experienced ‘UEFA A LICENCE’ football coach. I was a professional footballer for 20 years and played nearly 500 matches, winning 4 promotions in that time. I’ve worked with and under some of the best coaches and managers in England.  I would like now to pass on my years of knowledge and experience to others including the younger generation. I’m used to being successful but also know it’s hard work that brings that. I set high standards of myself and demand that from those I work with also. 

With over 13 years’ experience providing engaging & structured physical education in high-performing preparatory schools, I am certain to bring seasoned expertise in student development to any school. I am a stickler for being on time, disciplined and have the ability to improvise, adapt and overcome a situation when it is needed. These values were instilled during my 12 years in the British Army. I did not come into teaching the conventional way of university, so I have learnt from day one from the coaches and PE teachers that I have worked with or come across. Also, I would take note of what the heads of the department go through within their own daily routines. With that, I have made myself into an inspiring, confident, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, PE teacher and more recently a leader, manager and role model that encourages exercise and a healthy approach to daily life. My time as Head of PE at The Hampshire School Chelsea, sees me set high expectations so that all students are inspired, motivated & challenged to reach their full potential, with a commitment to my pupils and the quality of their experiences by catering for the range of needs of all the students & I provide a stimulating, happy, safe & supportive learning environment.            As a Teacher of PE in both Hampshire and Hill House School, I planned & taught well-structured, differentiated lessons for EYFS to Year 8 that aligned to the agreed curriculum & cultivated intellectual curiosity in my students. I was responsible for the educational development of my classes, delivering an age-appropriate curriculum. I made sure to foster positive self-esteem in my pupils & hold high expectations of their work & behaviour. All of this has allowed me to develop a mastery of PE as a subject along with general teaching pedagogy. Of course, ensuring the wellbeing of students & safeguarding them is my ultimate concern. I am extremely hard working and committed to delivering high quality teaching and learning to improve and raise standards wherever I am. I believe in motivating children to be their best selves, instilling an appreciation of learning across the curriculum.
